Ameet Sharma, JD
Ameet Sharma is a business professional with a proven track record in successfully operating agriculture production and processing operations. Currently serving as the Principal of Sharma Farms and Pioneer Nut Co., he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including growing, harvesting, and marketing almonds and walnuts. So far in his career, he has successfully negotiated and executed several major deals, including the acquisition of a custom harvesting business, several real estate ventures (Industrial, Commercial, and Agriculture), along with asset acquisition of multiple commodity processing and marketing businesses consolidated under The Pioneer Nut Company.
In addition to his business experience, Ameet holds a J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, where he concentrated in Business Law, Tax Law, and International Law. He graduated with distinction and was recognized with two Dean's List honors and was included in the prestigious Traynor Honor Society. He also holds a B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California-Davis, where he was the founder and director of the Davis Financial Analyst's Society.
Ameet has also served as a Legal Extern at the Wilton Rancheria Tribal Court. Working Pro Bono, he assisted tribal members with various legal matters and helped build out the court's policies and procedures. As a Pro Se litigant, he has litigated several cases and filed amicus curie briefs in high media coverage lawsuits.
Ameet is a dedicated leader. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America where he received national recognition for his essay title, “Using Financial Derivatives as a Risk Management tool for Farmers,” and holds a State FFA degree. He has also participated in various panels, debates, and task forces, including the H.M Clause Davis AG Innovation Center, Daily Republic, and Dixon Unified School District Task Force on Drug, Alcohol, and Athletic Coaching Policy.
